Interviews with our authors...

Running was the lifesaver for the Marathon Goddess aka Julie Weiss. Before she decided to start running, this young mother was overweight, on anti-depressants and simply going through dark times she thought she wouldn’t get out of. She embraced the Goddess in herself and wants to help others find their inner God or Goddess too by sharing her story. Julie lost her father to pancreatic cancer and in her mission to help others avoid the same fate she ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks to raise $1 million. “Find your passion, bring out your spirit and let it shine.” Whatever your passion may be, embracing it will change your life and the lives of others. This woman shows that our capacity lies way beyond where we believe our limits are… thanks for showing us!!!

Kevin interviews Mr. Saul Schachter, about his book published through Tender Fire Books, "Why Does My Social LIfe Pick Up When I Leave the Country?" and Other (mostly) Whimsical Essays.
Saul, is a retired teacher, a freelance writer, and a world traveler. He has visited 107 countries, including North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, and Libya. “I like to go to places that don’t want me,” he says. Since his retirement after 35 years in the classroom (33 at his alma mater, North Shore Schools), Mr. Schachter has volunteered at the Glen Cove Library, teaching English to immigrants three nights a week. Mr. Schachter is a movie buff with an amazing record for predicting the Oscar winners (His friends often call him beforehand to get his choices for their office pools). He continues to write, look for new places to explore, and enjoy life. This is his first book.
